Pingvin private kindergarten
Pingvin is a small private kindergarten for children aged eleven months and up. We operate in two different locations (both in Bežigrad).
Our first unit is located at Popovičeva 16, Ljubljana and our second unit is located at Kamniška 4, Ljubljana (new, since September 2015). At Popovičeva we have children aged 3 and up, while Kamniška is home to our youngest penguins (1st age group – from 11 months to 3 years).
The kindergarten operates in accordance with the “Pingvin private kindergarten” programme which was approved by the Council of Experts of the Republic of Slovenia for General Education in 1997.
You can read more about everyday life and activities in our kindergarten at www.pingvin.si. However, we offer much more than what can be described in a programme. We simply adore children and the primary concern of our devoted kindergarten teachers is to ensure that each and every child thrives.

INFORMATION ABOUT KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS:
How to describe myself in a few sentences? I am not so special that I would need a whole brochure about myself, but only in a few sentences?
I have a bachelor’s degree in history of art and sociology of culture but I am currently working with children. During my education, I studied beautiful things and to be honest, what is more beautiful and more interesting than children? Every day I am attracted to their sincerity, innocence and curiosity, and I believe we can all learn from each other and then carry this invaluable knowledge through life. THIS is why I am here with them. I consider myself to be a quite optimistic person and I always try to find something good in anything that crosses my path. I believe life is too short to complicate it. I love having fun, reading, travelling, sports and different activities. If you ever see a person that laughs and eats ice-cream, that is probably me.
MAJA GREGORIČ KLUN
My name is Maja and I am an assistant teacher in the Pingvin Kindergarten. For several years, I worked as a nurse, which was my primary profession. Working as a nurse offered many challenges and I loved it, but I always had this secret passion to work with children. I gathered the courage, enrolled in school and started my journey towards my dream. Working with children has a special place in my heart because they are never still, you never get bored around them and they keep surprising you with their questions and ideas.
I spend most of my free time with my family – we love taking walks in nature, baking delicious biscuits or simply cuddling on the sofa. I love warm and sunny days, and summer is my absolute favourite season. But to be honest, since I’ve had children, I started to enjoy winter as well.
Life is beautiful, so live every day like it’s your last.
My name is Saša Osolin. I finished secondary education at Secondary Preschool Education School in Ljubljana and I am a kindergarten teacher. I decided to become a teacher because I’ve always loved working with people. I decided between two schools that would lead me towards working with people and finally decided to become a kindergarten teacher over becoming a nurse.
Later I enrolled to the Faculty of Education (Pre-School Teaching) and I am currently completing my studies. I’ve been studying part-time and have been working in kindergartens since my first year at the Faculty. During my studies, I worked in different kindergartens where I got a lot of valuable experience. In my second year, I started working in Jelka Kindergarten, where I worked with the youngest age group. I am now working in the Pingvin private kindergarten.
I’ve always known I made the right decision to become a kindergarten teacher. I believe a lot of pleasant experience still awaits me.
I am a teacher with knowledge of art and I love spending my days with children. I like to say that my profession chose me. During my studies of Art Pedagogy, I worked as a nanny and soon learned that working with children is what I have to focus on. I love how children bring back those memories of your own childhood when everything was simple and possible. As adults, we often forget this magical feeling and that’s why I love children – they allow me to experience this all over again.
I am a big fan of music and creativity. Playing the piano calms me down and I love how my playing encourages children to listen to music.
I love spending time with people that are close to me and together we discover nature and the world.
I like getting to know other cultures and customs, and I love how diversity makes people unique.
I am a curious person and I love learning.
I have a lot of energy and children make me happy and give me more energy every day.
Children’s sincerity fascinates me the most and draws a smile on my face.
